15 x 20 cm = 6" x 8" oil on panel framed and available
Another cheesy one!
I have dug out my watercolours and giving them a whirl, struggling a lot as the techniques of creating a successful painting are so different from oils and I'm not happy at all with the resulting paintings not spontaneous or loose enough just plain wooden.

15 x 20 cm = 6" x 8" oil on panel
Cheese and grapes is an ever popular still life subject so thought that i would get back to painting a couple.
This one is on a piece of slate, that came off an old derelict cottage's roof that I found on one of my walks around here.

30 x 60 cm 12" x 24" oil on canvas
Here's a partner painting to the last one I posted, it has taken me ages because of breaks due to various reasons one being of course Easter. It was what I call a fiddler, because of checks and elipses shadows and reflections. I lost the flow due to all the interruptions too, so I'm glad this is finished at last!

30 x 60 cm 12" x 24" oil on canvas
I haven't painted any long ones for awhile, just concentrated on square ones. Trying to paint all the enamel vessels and items I have acquired recently but some seem to get featured more than others, I love the colour combination in this one with a zingy green plate pepping up this set up!

30 x 30 cm oil on canvas
Have taken a short break from painting, the garden was calling and several other things. I started painting a large one before I my break so it's looming large and waiting in my painting room, I seem to be avoiding it for some reason, so I thought that I would fill the gap with a small one.
This is my favourite copper kettle because of it's shape and a ceramic bell I bought many years ago because of it's colour.

I'm enjoying getting a bit more creative with my backgrounds, I've kept this fairly simple, don't want to detract from the sweet set-up.

15 x 20 cm = 6" x 8" oil on canvas board
Trying out different paints, going back to a slow drying or should I say a normal drying oil paint and found it tedious to wait for each layer to dry.
Anyway this apple is perched on a rustic box with ironwork and studs. and long since eaten!

50 x 50 = 20" x 20" oil on canvas to be framed
Still more enamel still lifes! Got this newish bread bin along with a large off white pitcher at a local auction, it's in much better condition to the one I already have. Got so many new props now they will last me for quite a few paintings. All my spare cupboards are full to brimming too.

Another copper and brass set-up, this time including a solid brass duck, bought in Portugal many years ago. He is probably admiring his reflection in the copper saucepan.

60 x 60 cm / 24" x 24" oil on canvas, to be framed
More enamel, I've been buying lots of stuff on Ebay, auctions and Etsy, it's becoming quite an obsession to find interesting and colourful old enamel items. I'll have to stop soon though, where to put it all!

40 x 40 cm oil on canvas, framed
All items purchased in France on a trip last year.
I tried a different brand of oil paint than my usual one and found it so different, think I will go back to my tried and trusted brand.

I'm on a roll with my new subject matter - enamel kitchen ware, seems to be very popular at the moment. Got lots more ideas in my brain, wish I could paint faster!
