1938 Red Doors

11" x 14" / 28 x 35.5 cm oil on panel, to be framed, available via my web-site

My daughter and I like to explore the area around where we live, here in Ireland, and on one of these walks we came across these interesting farm buildings. The days are short in the winter here, with the sun lowering in mid-afternoon, causing the long shadows on the grass and building.  This was what drew me to paint this scene, along with the bright red doors and windows.

1937 Sunny day

30 x 40 cm oil on canvas (12" x 16")
This country lane near where I live, is dotted with interesting buildings some no longer lived in. Farm buildings, some used some not and fields of cows and a pony or two.
