Another small one finished and framed, ready for the next exhibition. These plums were lovely sweet, and juicy, which made a change from the usual rock hard, never ripening sort we normally get from our local super market!
'Paint a few small ones', is on my to do list, along with a bunch of other things waiting to get done.
Now that spring is here I've created a couple of raised beds on my weedy lawn where I'm growing a bit of veg, nothing too exotic as the weather in Ireland can't be relied on and is none too warm in the summer.
I have been busy with a commission, but managed to paint this one along side it. I'm looking to get new ideas into my still lifes and find I get ideas about four in the morning when I seem to wake after a busy night 'sleep thinking' not all ideas are that great in the cold light of day though!
Another rural scene, on a favourite walk near where I live. This old tractor has been inviting me to paint it for quite awhile. Although rusty and probably quite a few years on the clock, it's still used to cut the verges and maybe a a field or two.
