Starting a few paintings for the Dublin Horse Show so it won't be such a rush at the end.

1870 Blue Boat

8" x 10" = 20 x 25 cm oil on panel
I was out taking sunset photos down by The Shannon River that runs through the edge of our town when I spotted this blue boat pushed up onto the banks of a little inlet. Lone boats make for interesting subject matter.

1869 Spring Sunset

11" x 14" oil on panel

An Irish sunset close to where I live. The walls in the foreground are covered in white lichen so common here, found on walls and rocks everywhere

1867 Diversity

40 x 40 cm / 16" x 16" oil on canvas board

This is one of my favourites, they come along now and again. The Majolica Comport was a great find at a local auction and picturesque by itself, so I kept the amount of fruit to a minimum to show off the lovely colours and glazes.of the dish itself.

1866 Four and a Half

40 x 40 cm (16" x 16") oil on canvas

I thought that I would never get this one finished! The bowl is possibly not painted as perfectly as I would have liked. I have been diagnosed with cataracts the worst one in my right eye, should be getting operated on in March. Can't say I'm looking forward to it as I'm having it done under a local anesthetic, and I have to keep really still...

1865 String of Beads

9" x 12" / 23 x 30.5 oil on panel available

I'm finally happy with this one, a real labour of love! I was very tempted to paint out the beads but I persevered and I'm really pleased it's finished at last.

1864 Connemara

6" x 8" / 15 x 20 cm oil on panel available
The Connemara region of Ireland is dotted with lakes, islands and mountains. Sheep and ponies graze this area and sometimes can be seen trotting down the road like giant mushrooms from behind!.

1863 St Kevins Church, Glendalough

6" x 8"/ 15 x 20cm oil on panel available

This is St Kevin's Church found in Glendalough Co. Wicklow Ireland. I'm enjoying creating some small landscapes, sometimes a bit difficult to fit everything in on a small surface.
