1882 'Free'

24" x 18" = 60 x 45 cm oil on canvas

I have decided to stop fiddling with this one, kept changing colours and tones and found it frustrating trying to mix the correct colours for the horse's coat, that orange -y red !! tried all sorts of combinations, the best was red ochre and yellow ochre lightened with naples yellow. Wasted a lot of paint finding that out!

Great anatomical detail and draftsmanship combine with your tonal control to make this one another gem Diana.

Obviously... the eye surgery isn't holding you back!

Good Painting,
Warmest regards,
Bruce
