1869 Spring Sunset


11" x 14" oil on panel

An Irish sunset close to where I live. The walls in the foreground are covered in white lichen so common here, found on walls and rocks everywhere

I did, too, Hilda! What a peaceful scene, Diana! Gorgeous the way the light hits the back of the tree limbs. I've never seen white lichen. We had lots of green lichen where I grew up. It's such an interesting plant. You've captured the look well!
