I bought this rustic copper jug in Spain and it has been a very useful 'prop' as it has such a nice shape and character. The colourful chillies I found at the local supermarket. Two of which went into a chilli con carne which was delicious!

This was a labour of love, as I started by toning my board, which is something I don't often do, the result was I couldn't get the tones right. I guess it takes some getting used to, I usually paint straight onto a white support.
My teapot is quirky and I love its shape and the primitive pattern engraved on the body. The piece of weathered slate, I found on a recent walk. Some of the roof slates had blown off an old abandoned cottage, I thought that one or two might come in handy for a still life, also I've been wanting to incorporate some eggs into a still life for awhile so here they all are together.

I had such a hard time finding a name for this one, some paintings are no problem to come up with a name for and others ..blank! I wonder why that is.
I'm getting ready for the first exhibition of the year on the 9th of May in Dublin, and as always praying for good weather or at least no rain. Come and visit me if you happen to be in Dublin that weekend, I'm on the South side, right at the beginning.
