1709 Candle Glow

16" x 20" oil on panel, unframed

This painting took me quite awhile to get  the colours and tones right because of changing light conditions. Since moving my in house studio to a room with a north facing window, it has made a big difference. I have also got a new studio easel and a standing lamp with a large shade and a photographic light bulb which is  ideal for dull days.

Photographing dark paintings is another challenge again, especially combating glare off the surface and specks that glow on the surface.

Good Painting!
