The last of the paintings for the exhibition phew! They are all at the framers and I will have a big bill for all the framing, I have a brilliant framer who does a great job and is very reasonable with his prices too so I shouldn't complain!
Wine, cheese and grapes always seem to be popular with the buyers and I've painted a fair few grapes over the last year or two! I'm not sure where I'm heading next, change of style or genre, maybe back to small ones I haven't decided yet.

I will be exhibiting at the Art Source Exhibition at the RDS in Dublin from the 8th to the 10th with a preview evening on the 7th I am on stand A83. If you would like free tickets to either the preview or the other three days do let me know and I will send you some.
I am looking forward to and am excited about exhibiting there, my first time, and as far as I'm aware this is the largest art exhibition in Ireland. So much to do before hand and think about, I'm sure next year will be easier!

I loved painting this one but photographing it was another matter! The colours are not quite accurate but the nearest I could get to it.
I bought a box of blue and white porcelain in auction recently without seeing it in the flesh, always a mistake, when we picked it up most of it had either cracks or chips or both! Well I can paint a few of the pieces, this little clog was one of 5 from the box.

14" x 18" = 35.5 x 46cm oil on panel to be framed, available
Finally finished! I love roses but find them hard to paint, all those petals and subtle colour changes, difficult to mix exactly the right shade of pink. I was so frustrated that I painted myself a colour chart of all my reds mixed with varying amounts of white, which was helpful.

14" x 18" = 35.5 x 46cm oil on panel
Finally finished! I have been working on a couple of paintings simultaneously and re-working some others hence the long pause in posting.
These two jugs bought at different times from auctions have a similar colour palette but are from different eras, the dahlia I plucked from my garden and placed it on a couple of sprigs of sage on a dark blue cloth and the stage was set!
