1447 Portrait Prize Winner

8" x 6" oil on panel

This is the portrait I painted for Carol Schiff, the last months prize winner in my give away.
Carol sent me a snap of her grandson proudly holding an enormous fish he had caught that day. I loved the challenge, I've never painted a fish before so that was a first for me!

Carol is a wonderful artist from sunny Florida do go and check out her beautiful paintings - click HERE

Diana, You out did yourself on this one. I gave you a difficult subject, and not the portrait you were expecting, and you sent me this beautiful painting. Thank you, thank you, thank you! He will love it and I know it will be in his room forever.

Diana, I just popped over from Carol's blog... wow! I would say that you have quite successfully captured her grandson's personality here. Your animal portraits are amazing in detail and understanding. I am not sure about the quote but I think that it is something about "the eyes are the window to the soul" -- You have the talent, my dear!

(Oh, and I am fortunate to have purchased one of Carol's paintings which I cherish)

Bises,
Genie
