6" x 6" = 15 x 15 cms oil on canvas panel framed
I enjoyed painting the last puppy so much I decided to paint another, the ref photo I got from Morgue file a free photo web site for creatives, a useful source when you run out of reference material.
I loved his characterful face and doleful look, he was lovely to paint.

6" x 6" - 15 x 15 cms oil on canvas sides painted black
This little puppy was sitting perfectly still while his owner looked out to sea, I fell in love with him and took a sneaky photo of him, he was lovely to paint and it was one of those paintings that rolled off my brush which was nice as I´m in the middle of 2 others that are hard work and I´m not sure how they will turn out. I used synthetic flat brushes for this one that annoyed me because they kept turning into shaving brushes the minute I rinsed them in spirits!

Well I said that I would paint another hydrangea and this one I have been tweaking for weeks, the hardest part were all the little buds and flowers around the main blooms, I was trying not to get too fussy which is very hard for me, so they have been wiped off, painted over and in general were a pain! Well enough is enough and I'm done with this painting at last.

8" x 10" oil on masonite
One of the ornate wrought iron bases of the lanterns that grace the O' Connell bridge over the river Liffey here in Dublin, I thought were worthy of featuring in a painting by itself with the river as the view behind it. I couldn't for the life of me think up an interesting title for this one. I enjoyed the challenge of painting all that intricate design.
