1289 'Fluffy' SOLD

6" x 6" oil on canvas (sides painted)

Another Irish cow, one of a bunch of steers grazing in a lusciously green pasture enjoying the cud. This one had such lovely fluffy, soft ears hence his name.
I realized after living in Ireland for a few months why it is called the Emerald Isle... it rains a lot!! The rain comes off the Atlantic Ocean to the west and then carries on to England if there's any left.
I will be back in Ireland in the new year and hope to get more cow pics to paint.

It looks like our friends in the fields of Sonoma County California! We have a plein air painter in our group and I love the ones with farm animals. So cute!
The tennis shoes perfectly catch the essence of teenager.
Great stuff!

Those thick brush strokes are very effective! It seems that cow is coming right out of the canvas. One of your best bovines yet.

I also like your Converse series... must go back and see them all...

Love all of your cows but this is my favorite with that wonderfully thick fur and the turquoise shadow.
