1255 'Abandoned'

8" x 10" oil on masonite, framed 11.5" x 13.5"

This beautiful old barn sits on a hill abandoned and slowly decaying away, which seems such a shame, as to me, it is such a wonderful structure, in its shape and lovely colours. It would be great to maybe move and restore it. I loved painting this one although the shape of the roof did throw up a few problems.

Those old barns and farm structures have such a beauty of their own. Thank you so much for capturing it on canvas before it falls away!

very nice painting Diane. It is too bad so many of these kind of icons of a simpler past are slowly fading away. I hated to see some of the old ranches doing the same thing from when I was a kid. A lot of them were log with sod roofs and are pretty much all gone now.
You sure captured that little girl on the previous post.
Good work
