1243 'Summer Abundance'

8" x 10" oil on masonite
This is my DSFDF offering, I really enjoyed painting this one yesterday and it was one of those paintings that just flowed off my brush without hesitation. It's great when that happens!

I love when painting just happens, like breathing... and the end result just works! I like the color choices especially the green on the corn. Feels fresh.

thank-you for your comments. New to Blogger...is this the only way to reply to comments made on my blog? open acrylics are new to me so I need to work more with them ...great for smaller work so far...better for blended edges

Good job on your DSFDF offering. I'm jealous of those who can render a tomato that doesn't look like an apple!

Diana, What a beautifully job. I love the yellows on the corn. Your colors are always well done, and your brush strokes are really great. I liked you cowboys and the "First teeth" paintings. Thanks for your feed back on my blog.

Diana...thanks for the comments. On this painting, I thought yours was in the top 5 and I think it is because of your deeper values in the shadow areas. Good color work on all of the objects.
