1221 'Katy'' NFS

14" x 18" oil on canvas
This is my youngest daughter Katy, a portrait that has taken a while to complete, I think that I am happy with the resulting painting, it hasn't been an easy one for some reason.

Wow, stunning! And a great likeness of Katy. You really got her typical 'lazy' expression right. Liza

You got Katy perfectly.
She looks like Galadriel the queen of the elves in Lord of the rings....sublime

Marvelous portrait. I am just beginning portraiture, and, as you say, it is certainly not easy. You are doing extremely well.

Thanks James,Thanks Dave for your kind comments.

Positive feedback is always good for the soul.

Thanks also to Liza and Tony who know Katy best and know I have captured a typical expression of hers.

Beautiful portrait! I love the "low light" and glowing tones. She's lovely!

This is one of my favorites. Love the free flowing style. What a gorgeous daughter! One would never know you had trouble with this. It glows and her eyes pull you right in. Love the turquoise peeking through her "Buttermilk" hair(you know...from "The Princess Bride").
