1218 'Butter Wouldn't Melt' NFS

8" x 10" oil on canvas board

This is Blackie again, my daughter is holding him so that I could get a snap of him, what a job that was, he doesn't hold still for a minute. As I am writing this he is attacking my bag full of photographic equipment and his sharp claws can shred anything in a matter of minutes! Little so and so.... in the painting he looks so innocent!

It is snowing here in WA at the moment coming down in thick flakes and looks very pretty out of the window, it snowed a bit yesterday but melted away as soon as the sun came out.

I have been painting a portrait of my daughter over the past week and I just can't get her features right, normally I don't have this much trouble oh well I hope I get there in the end.

What a beauty! If it's one thing harder than painting a black dog, it's painting a black cat. Wonderful golden eyes contrasted with the blue and purples in the background. Is he a Black Siamese? He has that super sleek fur, beautiful Oriental features and piercing gold eyes that are often their trademarks. I had a pair...one Balinese and one Seal Point that had 2 litters and both litters had one solid black. Sounds like he has that Siamese crazy temperament too! REally nice painting!
