1199 'Made For Walking' SOLD

8" x 8" oil on canvas panel

Another entry for the blog 'Different Strokes from Different Folks' although when I saw this weeks photo, I was rather dissapointed I still decided to go ahead and paint them anyway. I have to say I really enjoyed doing this painting and decided to try and do a fairly loose painting which I find very difficult to do, I managed halfway to be loose and am happy with the results.

Good job on this challenge. These boots have character.

Diana, these boots are wonderfully loose and textural. You've captured the color and sense of leather without using strong colors - amazing! So glad to hear you enjoy my new large paintings. I enjoy working in this size because I feel more connected with the act of painting. I think that's what I sense in your Boots piece. A directness that's very appealing to me, the viewer. Good painting to you in 2009!
