'Stranger Among Us' SOLD

6" x 6" = 15 x 15cms oil on gessoed board €45
These pretty wild flowers were growing on a piece of waste land where I chuck the ball for my dog in the afternoons. I was wondering what I was going to paint today and they looked so bright and cheerful I picked a bunch of them. The little white daisy got plucked up with them so she got the supporting role. It was a hard one to paint wet into wet as yellow is quite a weak colour and I find it hard to find the right colour to use for the shading.

Diana, A refreshing sign of Spring! The yellow color of the wildflowers really pops against the dark background. I really enjoy seeing your vision of Spain through your art.
